Graduation Card for New Nurse

A week and a half ago my daughter-in-law graduated from Nursing School. My sister flew down from NY and made the road trip with me to San Angelo to attend the pinning ceremony and graduation. It was an interesting trip. What should be a 7 hour drive took us 7 1/2 hours to get there and 10 1/2 hours to drive back. That's what happens when NY meets the wild west.

This is the card I made for Jessica using the R and N from storybook. I also used a crocheted flower which I purchased from Paper Blooms. Here is a link to her etsy shop. She does beautiful work!

A stunning giveaway

Cathe Holden over at Just something I made is offering the most awesome prize to one lucky winner. Go check out her blog and see some of the oh so creative things she has made. But her giveaway is a sheet of monograms and I can think of hundreds of things I could do with them. As a card maker, wouldn't this be a neat signature for the back of your cards.
On a side note, I know I've been gone forever. Well, my camera decided to call it quits on me a while back and I just haven't done anything about it. Hopefully we'll get back on track real soon.
