Chickin' In

Happy Tuesday everyone! For this card I cut the chicken from animal kingdom at 2 1/2",

the letters were cut from Stamped at 1" on shorty and the brackets @ 1 1/2" shadow/blackout. The background paper is Basic Gray from the cupcake collection. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Tilda

I was able to get a couple of Tilda cards done. I just love her! The nestibilities work so well with these images. The pics are not great. My camera has a ton of vibration going on and I'm just waiting to replace it because I haven't made up my mind what to get yet.

A set of note cards

My daughter asked me to make her a simple set of note cards and some thank you notes that she could keep on hand. I altered a lunch tin for her to store them. The cards are very easy to make using the split embossed technique that Sue Nelson does. Here's the link to view her wonderful creations. http://www.heartprints.net/gallery/ Thanks for looking and have a creative day!

Altered Clock

I finally got around to trying an altered clock. This is a birthday gift I made last night after work. It had to go in the mail today which didn't leave me a whole lot of time to play with it. It was fun to make and I will make more. I purchased the clock overlay from my local scrapbook store and everything else is from the Blue awning collection. Oh, and the picture is my sister and her beautiful granddaughter. Thanks for stopping by!

Graduation Card for New Nurse

A week and a half ago my daughter-in-law graduated from Nursing School. My sister flew down from NY and made the road trip with me to San Angelo to attend the pinning ceremony and graduation. It was an interesting trip. What should be a 7 hour drive took us 7 1/2 hours to get there and 10 1/2 hours to drive back. That's what happens when NY meets the wild west.

This is the card I made for Jessica using the R and N from storybook. I also used a crocheted flower which I purchased from Paper Blooms. Here is a link to her etsy shop. She does beautiful work!http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6887095

A stunning giveaway

Cathe Holden over at Just something I made is offering the most awesome prize to one lucky winner. Go check out her blog http://justsomethingimade.blogspot.com/2009/05/vintage-monogram-giveaway.html and see some of the oh so creative things she has made. But her giveaway is a sheet of monograms and I can think of hundreds of things I could do with them. As a card maker, wouldn't this be a neat signature for the back of your cards.
On a side note, I know I've been gone forever. Well, my camera decided to call it quits on me a while back and I just haven't done anything about it. Hopefully we'll get back on track real soon.
